No ordinary food store

August 31, 2009

Here are some reasons why it’s great to go see smaller specialty food retailers.  Supermarkets have a whole range of items but not always the stuff that inspires you to try cooking new things or try new flavours. The supermarket has it’s place for sure, but next time you’re looking for some inspiration try heading to your local specialty store.

Go see Trevor at Plenty Epicurean Pantry on 1034 Fort Street.  He is a true gentleman and who has loads of knowledge and passion for all things food.  Also visit his blog

All products above are from Plenty Epicurean Pantry.

Peter – thank-you so much for writing this and featuring your photos of items from Plenty! It’s fantastic to receive support like this and of course its always encouraging to hear that the eclectic assortment we’ve assembled inspires people in their passion for food. A wonderful Slow Food culture is developing in Victoria – thank-you for being a part of it and for supporting small specialty food stores in our community.

    Cheers,

    Trevor
